Layout:  On the main deck level the F70's aft galley opens out to the cockpit for al fresco dining. When a more formal dining solution is called for the dining table in the salon offers plenty of privacy thanks to large glass sliding doors. Forward in the salon are two more seating areas as well as a full entertainment system. A sliding door at the helm offers easy access to the side decks, and huge floor-to-ceiling windows flood the entire main deck area with natural light. There are four staterooms and three bathrooms below including a full beam master with private salon access, a feature rarely found in a motor yacht this size. The F70's flybridge includes a large U-shaped dining area served by a wetbar with barbecue, aft sunpad, and a lounge seating area adjacent to the helm that converts into a sunbed. The forward facing sofa and sunpad on the foredeck are perfect for enjoying the sunshine. Twin transom gates lead to the hydraulic bathing platform, and a transom door provides access to the crew cabin and engine room.

Performance:  Standard Caterpillar C-18 1,150hp diesel engines reach a respectable top speed of 30-32 knots. Optional 1,400hp  MAN V12 diesels top out 36 knots.

Consisting of six models from 40 to 70 feet in length, Princess F-Class yachts are viewed by yachting experts here and abroad as the design and engineering leaders in their class. Traditionally, Princess motor yachts have taken a more understated approach to design than their U.K. and Italian competitors. That ended last year with the introduction of the F Class series. Their bold styling, innovative features and spacious interiors combine to give these flybridge cruisers tremendous showroom appeal.

The four models profiled below are the latest to join the F Class fleet.

     Hull Type:                                                                                 Deep-V

Overview:  The bold styling of the F62 is a match for the most advanced Italian competitors. Combined with her sumptuous accommodations and innovative foredeck seating arrangement, the F62 is at the forefront of today's midsize motor yacht design.

Layout: With its aft galley opening directly to the cockpit to create a blended indoor/outdoor al fresco bar area, the F62 was designed to cater to both social and private settings. Forward of the galley and two steps up, the salon is bathed in natural light thanks to huge full length side windows. Replete with plush seating and clever design touches, the salon is unusually spacious for a 62 foot yacht. There are three staterooms below including an opulent full beam master with settee, seating table and two large hull windows. Of special note, the berths in the starboard guest cabin slide together at the push of a button. The F62's flybridge is equipped with a full wet bar and barbeque as well as a unique circular seating area that converts into additional sunpads. A fabric sliding roof integrated into the hardtop deploys electrically. The bow has an innovative multi-seat social area with twin sunbeds forward and a forward-facing lounge aft, separated by a small walkway. Finally, the aft crew cabin is large enough to serve as a spare guest cabin.

Performance:  Standard Volvo 1,000 engines reach a top speed of 30 knots. Optional MAN 1,200hp V8 diesels top out in the low to mid 30s.

Princess F55

2018–Current

SPECIFICATIONS

     Length:                                                                                     57'9"

     Beam:                                                                                       16'0"

     Draft:                                                                                        4'10"

     Weight:                                                                                     54,200 lbs.

     Fuel:                                                                                         605 gals.

     Water:                                                                                      134 gals.

     Hull Type:                                                                                 Deep-V

Overview: Winner of the "Best Flybridge Up to 60 Feet" award presented annually by UK magazine Motor Boat & Yachting, the class leading F55 is a highly competent yacht in every area.

Layout: A scaled down version of the F62, the open plan interior of the Princess F55 is an impeccable blend of American walnut furniture, recessed LED lighting, and clever innovations like a coffee table that converts into a dining table. Huge side windows flood the entire main deck with natural light and great attention to detail is apparent throughout. The views out from the salon seating are quite spectacular. The galley is aft, connected to the cockpit through the sliding glass door. The F55's lower deck layout is entirely conventional although the masses of light and space in the master stateroom are noteworthy as is the unusually large bathroom. Teak covers all exterior decks including up on the flybridge with its aft seating and dining area, wet bar, electric barbecue and forward lounge. Engine access is via a hatch in the cockpit sole. On the foredeck, the ingenious forward facing sofa and sunpad are signature F Class features. The single berth crew cabin, accessed from the transom, doubles as a storage area. On the downside the hardtop is, well... a bit ungainly.

Performance:  Twin 800hp MAN (or Volvo) engines top out at a respectable 30 knots.

Princess F45

New 2019 Model

SPECIFICATIONS

     Length:                                                                                     47'1"

     Beam:                                                                                       13'11"

     Draft:                                                                                        3'7"

     Weight:                                                                                     36,900 lbs.

     Fuel:                                                                                         286 gals.

     Water:                                                                                      107 gals.

     Hull Type:                                                                                 Deep-V

Overview:  Gateway to the Princess flybridge range, the F45 is the second Princess model to sport IPS pod drive propulsion.

Layout: Designed for coastal cruising and entertaining, the galley is on the main deck just inside the cockpit doors within easy reach of the salon dinette and the L-shaped cockpit seating. A unique feature of the F45 is her electrically sliding transom seating that extends the size of the cockpit. The salon features a U-shaped sofa and dining table for 6 guests which also doubles as a comfortable double berth. The state-of-the-art Naim Atom audio system — standard in the salon — can be extended throughout the yacht. With the engines located all the way aft in the hull there is space on the lower deck for two large double cabins including a full-beam master suite amidships with large windows and space for a washer/dryer. (Note that a full beam amidships master in a boat this size is only possible when space-saving pod drive units are employed.) The flybridge isn’t huge but it’s well designed with a twin helm position, large sunpad, wetbar and dining table. Wide side decks provide safe access to the foredeck where a large sunpad is perfect for relaxing.

Performance:  Volvo 435hp IPS 600 diesels deliver a top speed of 30 knots.
