Viking Classics: 70 Convertible

2011–16

A proven tournament contender, the 70C was designed to run hard and fast.

INTERIOR

The salon is large and inviting, and the belowdeck accommodations are very similar to her bigger sistership, the Viking 74 Convertible.

Overview: Luxury and comfort are on full display with the Viking 70 Convertible, a tournament-class sportfishing yacht with the powerful lines common to all late-model Viking convertibles. Entered through an electrically operated sliding door, guests are greeted with an immense salon elaborately appointed with designer furnishings, custom window treatments, and overhead LED lighting. A day head is located just inside the salon door. Fishing rods and other gear stow beneath the L-shape leather sofa to starboard. To port is a deluxe entertainment center with a 50" flat screen TV and Bose surround sound system. The galley island features a granite counter, undercounter refrigeration, three bar stools, and is adjacent to the dinette that seats four. Note the walk-in pantry. Below, the 70C's elegant four-stateroom, four-head layout includes a spacious master suite and private access to the crew quarters via the engine room and cockpit. The huge 208 square-foot cockpit includes insulated fish boxes, a live well, multiple freezers, and plenty of storage space. A total of 36 Viking 70 Convertibles were built including several Enclosed Bridge models with salon access.

Power: MTU 2,600hp diesels cruise the 70C at 35–36 knots (low 40s top).
