Viking Classics: 52 Open
2007–11
A proven tournament winner with cat-like agility, the popular 52 Open is always in demand on the pre-owned express market.

INTERIOR
Enter the spacious salon and you’re surrounded in luxury with indirect Halogen lighting, Amtico flooring, and rich designer furnishings.

Overview: The Viking 52 Open is a broad-beamed sportfishing heavyweight whose luxury accommodations belie her fishboat pedigree. Sleek and powerful with great helm visibility, a cockpit mezzanine, and a huge command deck, the 52 Open is the best-selling express fishing yacht this size yet produced. Stepping below, the L-shaped Ultraleather lounge to port features a triangular high-low table large enough to serve five adults for dinner. Along the starboard side, the galley includes under-counter refrigeration, a Corian counter, and a four-burner ceramic cooktop. Entertainment is provided by a home theater system with a 32-inch TV, a DVD/VCR combo unit and Bose surround sound speakers. The forward master stateroom has a walkaround double berth and a private head, and the guest stateroom to port has over/under bunks and a large hanging locker. A second full head to port can be accessed from both the salon and guest cabin. Note the stackable washer/dryer closet in the passageway just forward of the galley. The mezzanine—an innovative feature back in 2007—conceals a freezer, stowage compartments, and engine room access. Fishing amenities in the 148 square foot cockpit include an in-deck livewell, refrigerated step box, transom fish box, and a transom door with gate.
Power: MAN 1,360hp V12 diesels cruise at 32–33 knots (high 30s top).
