"The 64 is an impressive ride with a stout feel and a tenacious approach to seakeeping that one must experience to appreciate."

–Yachting Magazine

"The Hatteras 64 Convertible may be built like a battleship to take on the elements, but she’s also made to handle passengers with care and comfort. This is one exceptional way to go fishing.

–Boating World

"Construction is second to none."

–Boating Magazine

"It is almost as if the Hatteras designers looked at the best convertibles on the market in the 64’ range and decided to one-up the leading competitors on the market in all of the important parameters."

–BoatTest.com

WHEN IT came to the 64 Convertible, Hatteras pushed all the right buttons—the styling is crisp, the accommodations are lush, and the finish is world-class throughout. Introduced in 2006, the 64's huge cockpit and spacious accommodations are the result of a broad 19'6" beam. She rides on a low-deadrise hull with cored hullsides and a solid fiberglass bottom. Moderate propeller tunnels are molded into the hull to reduce draft. Inside, the 64's opulent salon features a vast U-shaped sectional sofa to port, opposite a full-length cherry cabinet with built-in 42" plasma TV. The galley/dinette area is a step up from the salon and features a 4-burner ceramic cooktop, microwave/convection oven, trash compactor, disposal, and three Subzero units—two refrigerators and one freezer. There are four staterooms below including an enormous full-beam master suite with centerline king berth and ensuite head with granite counters and cherry cabinets. (Note the unique opening ports in the master stateroom.) A mezzanine deck with lounge seating overlooks the spacious cockpit. No lightweight, Cat 1,800hp C-32 engines cruise the Hatteras 64 at 28–30 knots (mid 30s top).

"Take a sea trial on this Viking 64 - or any Viking for that matter - and you'll instantly understand why the marque represents one of the most popular production sport-fishing boats in the world."

–Marlin Magazine

"Meticulously finished inside and out, the Viking 64C seems to offer the complete package: looks, style, amenities, and great performance."

–Power & Motoryacht

"If you dream of sailfish, you've likely dreamed of sailfishing in Mexico. If you've dreamed of fishing aboard your own boat in these waters Viking's new 64 Convertible is the ideal platform."

–Yachting Magazine

THE VIKING 64 is just one more example, if indeed any were required, of why Viking Yachts practically owns the market for high-end, luxury convertibles. By Viking standards, the 64 was a midsize yacht falling near the middle of their model lineup when she was introduced in 2006. She embodies the same world-class styling, engineering, and luxury that have made this company's products so admired over the years. A mega-wide 19-foot, 2-inch beam results in a huge cockpit with some 180 square feet of working space, including a mezzanine deck. The interior, available with three or four staterooms and three heads, is equally spacious and rivals most motor yachts for opulence. In the salon, for instance, there is a choice of either an L-shaped sofa with bar stools at the galley counter, or a posh U-shaped sofa. Both include a custom hi-lo table as well as a 40-inch plasma TV framed in teak above the dinette. An electrically operated door simplifies egress to the salon from the cockpit. The 64's massive standup engine room is nearly a work of art. Caterpillar 1,825hp C32s cruise the Viking 64 at a fast 32 knots (mid-to-high 30s top). An enclosed bridge model was also available.
